Elemukulek Chapter of the Echockotee Lodge

Chiefly Speaking

Fellow Ducks,

We're more than halfway through this leadership term, and a lot of things have changed. We've gotten a leadership team of more than a dozen Arrowmen together, which has let us focus a new level of energy on unit elections, elangomats, service projects, Camporee, ceremonies, camping promotions, merchandise, and this website. We've inducted more than fifty new Arrowmen into the Chapter, and held nine Chapter meetings (just for fun, our March one was at Adventure Landing!) Our District Camporee was a huge success with a record-setting 330 Scouts in camp, and this year's Service Project, building and installing benches in the ceremonies ring, worked perfectly.

Come out and join us! You'll get a letter in the mail about Summer Fellowship - pre-register for that to join us for a craaaaazy Greek-themed weekend! There's a Lodge Service Day on April 26th, where you can come down to Shands for the day and join us in improving the camp (try working out at the burn piles - the fires are bigger than a Suburban). I'd really, really like to see you at a Chapter meeting. They're the 1st Thursday of each month, 7:00PM at the Lakewood Presbyterian Church. We play games for 40 mins. and eat pizza (free for you!) for 20 mins..

Thanks for checking out our website! If you have any questions about the Order, an event, or just want to say 'allo, feel free to drop me a line.

Your Brother,
Aaron Lewis
Elemukulek Chapter Chief

Quacks!
What do you mean you have't been an Elangomat?
Seriously, serving as an Elangomat is one of the ultimate levels of service a member can perform. You serve your chapter by setting the example for new members and see the induction ceremony from a new perspective. If you haven't made this commitment, give it a try! You will definitely walk away with a cool patch and the respect of your fellow brothers.
Have you met the new Chapter Historian?
Joseph Bollling was elected as the Chapter Historian at the October Chapter Meeting. He will be keeping the chapter history records up to date as well as taking some of those great photos that appear in the Quacker or on-line. Be sure to congratulate Joseph when you see him.
Unit Elections
Chris Trivett has been working in the position of Unit Elections Chairman and is almost finished for the year. There are only one or two more Troops to hit the targeted 100% mark!
New Ceremonies Chairman
Colin Doak has accepted this position and is now actively recruiting and preparing for the upcoming year. If you are interested in being a part of this great service, contact Colin at the upcoming Fellowship.
Ducks for Sale!
Not really!, but if you are interested in Elemukulek merchandise, Chris Faison is the man to see. He is the new Merchandise/Gear guy and should have these items at Fellowships and Chapter meetings. Thanks for taking on this new job Chris!
